Advocacy and Activism

At WRRC, we don’t believe that gender-based violence happens in a vacuum. We live in a culture that perpetuates violence against women and children. WRRC and our work is part of a larger, feminist movement for women’s rights. As such, we frequently take part in intersectional feminist events, such as the Women’s March, Take Back the Night, and other grassroots movements.

We invite any and all community members to walk alongside us at these events. Please check the News and Events section for upcoming events and how you can take part. We would love to have your voice join ours.

We also have a blog where we talk about all things feminist, and are always interested in providing a platform to the many voices in our community. If you have a topic you’d like to write about, or art or poetry, please get in touch with cara@wrrcsa.org. We would be happy to work with you.
